The Volcanoes and Forests of Northern Martinique is a UNESCO World Heritage site encompassing the volcanic landscapes of Mount Pelée—an active stratovolcano renowned for its pelean eruption style—and the adjacent pitons (peaks) such as those of Carbet and Mont Conil.
