tuisi garden
Tuisi Garden (Retreat and Reflection Garden), a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Classical Gardens of Suzhou, is a compact yet exquisite late-Qing Dynasty private garden. Built between 1885 and 1887 by official Ren Lansheng, its name derives from the classical idea of loyalty in service and self-reflection in retreat. Featuring harmonious waterside pavilions, Taihu rocks, lush greenery, and refined Ming-Qing architectural elements, it masterfully blends residence and landscape into a serene Jiangnan masterpiece.
