palatine hill
Palatine Hill, standing tall at 40 meters above the Roman Forum, is one of the most ancient parts of Rome and the very heart of the city's seven hills. It's a place steeped in legend, believed to be where Romulus and Remus were found by the she-wolf Lupa, and where Romulus later founded the city of Rome. Today, it's an open-air museum where visitors can explore ruins of grand palaces and get a glimpse into the lives of Rome's elite. The Palatine Hill not only offers a rich historical journey but also provides some of the best views of the Eternal City.
