mission san josé

Mission San José, known as the "Queen of the Missions," is a historic jewel located in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 1720, it is the largest of the five Spanish missions in the city and was almost fully restored in the 1930s. Today, it stands as a part of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. Visitors can explore the beautiful church, the Indian quarters, and the Spanish colonial architecture that offers a glimpse into the 18th-century mission life.
