Jinxi Ancient Town, a well-preserved Jiangnan water town on China’s Tentative UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Ancient Waterfront Towns of the South Yangtze River, boasts over 2,000 years of history. Surrounded by lakes and crisscrossed by numerous rivers and canals, it features 36 historic stone bridges from various dynasties, traditional Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture, and over 4,000 ancient buildings along cobblestone lanes.
