Gyeongsang, historically known as Gyeongsang-do during the Joseon dynasty, is a region that played a significant role in Korea's history. It was the birthplace of the Silla Kingdom, which later unified Korea in the 7th century. Today, the area is divided into North and South Gyeongsang provinces, with the latter being home to the cities of Busan and Ulsan, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Haeinsa Temple.
