ak saray palace

Ak-Saray Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Shahrisabz, Uzbekistan, is a ruined yet magnificent Timurid-era palace built between 1380 and 1404 under Timur's reign. Once a grand symbol of power with a massive 70-meter-high portal adorned with intricate mosaics and calligraphy, it featured vast courtyards and ornate interiors, though much was destroyed in the 16th century. Today, its towering entrance pylons and unrestored tilework offer a glimpse into its former splendor.
